About me

I was born at a young age with big dreams of making an impact on the world while also being happy.

In my wayward youth, I played the viola, acquired a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, participated in all of the academic competitions, and eventually graduated from high school.

After completing the majority of an electrical engineering degree, I decided I hated it and joined my Linux Users’ Group friends in the computer science department where I learned that software engineering is easy and it pays well. After graduating with a dual degree in math and computer science, I joined Google where I have worked since.

I spent two years working on low level graphics for Chrome for Android doing performance and accessibility work.

After that I was offered the opportunity to turn one of my passion projects into a full time job and build a team to support it. For the last five years I have worked on that project and expanded it from a small engineering force to a fully supported project with a real team and an organizational fit.

In my spare time I like to make clothing that fits me and will not fall apart after five washes. I also dabble in cocktail robotics, baked goods, and fermentation.
